my personal opinion bout his new album ... good

but not surprising and not fresh

kinda predictable on some level the compositions i mean. The songs also not as wow as some of the songs he produced during the beginning of his career. He has produced some songs that are regarded as 'classic' . But from this album...i dont tink so.

Not that the songs are bad....they are quite good just that I doesnt get me addicted to it at least not at this moment la.

not sure whether its me or this happens to others as well, somehow winter makes me crave for ice-cream even more.

till now i have been eating ice cream almost everyday for the past week. And today i went to the extreme. Normally i will just steal my bro's magnum prob a stick to 2 max but I had 4 fucking scoops of mint choc in less than half and hour !!! And somemore straight after lunch which I had spicy oily fish and vege.

Luckily, my healthy daily life saves me from getting tyre. combinations of green teas ,gymming at 9p.m and no food after 6.30p.m really helps. So if u wanna loose weight healthily go on and do that.

19/02/2010

Head to Mendrisio in Switzerland that day. Its an hour from Milan centre actually at the Italian and Swiss border. We went there cos got a huge indoor outlet and we get to pass by Lake Como, a really picturesque place near to the italy swiss border. So, we booked a mercedes E class at the hotel conceirge before breakfast and soon after it we hop into our luxury hired car and headed towards Como.

But too bad for us, i was raining fuckin heavily soon after we got into the car, somemore the driver was driving really fast like 160 while it was raining heavily, so yea almost lau jio since i was sitting in front.

So we had to cancel our plan of dropping by Lake Como and went straight to Mendrisio instead. Since Switzerland is not part of the EU union, we had to pass thru a check point but it is part of the Schengen area so passing thru the check point is really fast and easy...we didnt even need to get out of the car.

And if u r wondering...yes mr kho chun yik goes to outlet too. When i can get a gucci shirt for around RM 700, I dont fucking care bout my beliefs. Its not like i have to follow wads in season rite..i just wear whatever looks good. But still i wont get bags or shoes from there la lol...just shirts and pants...and they have tons of shops in there Gucci, Prada, Armani, D&G, Burberry, Coach, YSL, Valentino, Versace etc....of course u dont get Chanel, Bottega, LV or Hermes there la.

since it cost about 70 euro for each hour our transport wait for us...we I dont really have time to take pics but shop so heres a few i got online....

We didnt get to go to a lot of shops lo...really not enuh time, the outlet is huge...i tink similar to Chadstone but filled with Prada or Armani types of shop...not jay jays or industry type....and yes of course we got tons of stuff....

Luckily by roughly 3.30p.m the sky cleared out a bit...so we ended our short shopping trip and headed to Lake Como...but then seriously the sky ar is playing with us ler once we reach Lake Como it started to drizzle again then turn into heavier rain...mccb ar spent so much money and we did even get to c nice views.

the 1st pic obviously i got on9 then the second one i took myself...somemore i tried to photoshop it and make it as bright and clear as possible and thats the best i can get out. Clearly u can see the diff and clearly u can see the wet ground and fogs covering the alps at the back...ccb ar at least ok la we did get a good shopping therapy.

after spending bout an hour driving around the town then we head back to city la...make sure if u guys shop there next time, pls get ur tax refund slips chopped at the check point la.

After a hot shower we headed out looking for dinner la. we initially wanted to try the restaurant at Bvlgari hotel & resorts located 10mins away from our hotel for seriously that day was really unlucky for us la, it was full so we went to Armani Nobu instead located at the Armani building at Via Montenapoleone. Its the Nobu franchise in Milan la but since its located in the Armani building and the interior is by Armani as well so I guess they collaborated and opened this restaurant lo. U noe me la I didnt wanna looked like some saki so I didnt take photo of the interior la so I got these online also...

Overall the food was quite ok...had better jap food... The best dish i had is the entree... Tuna Toro with jalapeno or smthing like that la...suprisingly the it is not hot at all and the sauce brings out the sweetness of the Toro even more. the toro and white fish sasimis are not bad. The main courses I had with my family was quite good also. Dad had some 'pasta' inspired soba I tink. They replaced the soba with some pasta but was served cold with lobster and the sauce was light, bit sweet with a light touch of sourness to it...very nice. the dissapointing part was the sushi...the vinegared rice was fallin apart so basically once u use chopsticks to pick it up, it all becomes single pieces. Same goes to the hand rolls too. But overall we had good sake good food except for the sushis. the experience I hate, the waiter and service was good but our table was surrounded by three tables and everyone were smoking, some even smoking cigar...thats sucked la

Today is shopping day...one whole stretch of shops were waiting for us at Via Montenapoleone. Its just bout 5 to 8 mins walk from our hotel @ Piazza Duomo. Glad that we decided to spent a whole day there..seriously even one day is not enough with the speed that we shop..I tink 2 or 3 days would b ok. Even in cartier shop alone already 2 hrs+ gone let alone the Bottega, Chanel Gucci etc....

The cnr where we started our trip down Via Montenapoleone, thats the Armani Building we had dinner the night bfore.

Funny thing happen while we were in the Cartier shop...well at least embarassing for us la. While browsing thru the jeweleries, since I speak mandarin to my mum..i was telling her some of the necklace and watches are kinda ugly and dont even bother to look at them then suddenly this shopkeeper behind us says '你们需要帮助吗?' which means anyhelp? I straight away turned back and the first thing i said was...'Oh shit'...seriously cos this Italian guy was speaking mandarin to us somemore i said some of thier stuff are ugly.... so yea damn paisze le...

so straight away to reduce my paiszeness I told him that we wanted to look at the necklace we saw on the window display...just to show that we really wanted to buy stuff rather than just looking around la. In fact my mum did like it and in the end she bought it and a watch as well which i tink the shopkeeper got commisions also...not sure how the system works la..somemore the whole time he was talking to us in mandarin lo...thats just show how important chinese market is nowadays haha

Back on the street....

Being shopaholic as always we shopped from 12 till like 6 la and headed back to our hotel...so in the end of the days we only managed to go through prob a quarter of the shops there and so..........

haha thats wad we collected hehe and pls................... go on and roll ur eyes...We then went back to our hotel had a hot bath to soothe our body then head out to take nite pics of the Piazza then dinner....

That nite we went to one of the top restaurants in Milan cbd ...at least from what i have read from online review... Its the Restaurante Savini in the Galleria.Knowing me i wont miss the chance..so of course its a fine dining restaurant haha.

Too bad it wasnt during the fashion week because i heard that its a hot spot for models. Anw yea thats the web link la if u wanna drew over the pics of the food. haha So...we had a good dinner..great food great service and good drinks...

Part 1

Milan...ahhh Milan, high end shopping, high end food, high end hotels alll cramped within this city. A city that have been on the top of my must visit list. Finally I went during cny this year and it is truly the money sucking capital of the world.

Boarded SQ378 to Milan at 11.45p.m. Only 5 star airline in south east asia that serves Milan I tink. So highly recommend it if u guys plan to go to Milan.

17/02/10

Milan greeted us with a gloomy weather. That sucked destroyed all my plans. Oh btw from airport to city is around 100 Euro although the airport notice board said 80 Euro. So to convert it cost almost RM 500 from for a 40 mins trip from airport to the hotel. That gave us the first clue to how ex is Milan's cost of living.

Since standard checking time is 2p.m and we arrived at 8a.m we have no choice but to wait at the hotel's cafe and the breakfast cost 35 euro each...thats almost 800 bowls of kolo mee x 4. But yea no choice la all the tourist spot still close and felt safer to eat at hotel.

10a.m we were given a room in advance so we dropped our luggage, had a shower and then head out.

And thats the room i share with my bro too bad that they dont have twin bed but I highly recommend it since it is located just next to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. Oh its the Park Hyatt Milan btw, excellent location, excellent service and excellent room as u can see from the pics.

Anw went to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele first since its right next to our hotel. If im right, it should b one of the oldest shopping arcade in the world. It is really beautiful.. and got shops such as Prada and Lv although very small. There are tons of good restaurant for breakfast dinner and lunch lo and one of the most famous within that building should be the Savini restaurant la. To bad I wasnt there during Milan Fashion Week if not I might bump into Miranda Kerr or some other Victoria Secret models since they walked the Prada Show.

The dome looks really good at night. The blue light match well with the marbles kinda like looking at the sky full with stars. That nite we had dinner at our hotel's restaurant. It was really good actually. I had one of the best carbonara in my life, not too cheesy but the parsley's flavour didnt take over the whole dish as well. Anw it was sort of fine dining la we had diff wines and champagne to accompany each course. So overall a great dining experience to start of the trip.

Went to look at other famous tourist attraction that day. Basically most tourist attractions are located near to the Piazza Duomo which is where the galleria, the Duomo cathedral and Park Hyatt and tons of other 5 star hotels and good restaurants are located.

So we walked to most of the tourist attractions. The first one was the ever famous Duomo Cathedral.

This picture almost cost us 5 Euro, a local I tink approached us with a handful of dried corns and ask us whether we want to feed the pigeons. Of course i ignored him but then my dum dum bro got cheated and he drop the corns onto his hand...then asked for 5 euros. Bad luck for him 2 policemen were passing by so we purposely argue with him to attract the policemen attention haha so in the end he left.

OK. Probably some will start to think this is boring and start looking at the pictures d but anw im gonna write a detail report la, so screw you bitches.

Then we went to the Castello Sforzesco. Do not take the tram. It might look as if its heading towards the castle but no it doesnt and different to Melbourne, the tram stops are super far apart. So yea we had change schedule to visit the Santa Maria delle Grazie. This church houses The Last Supper by Leornado Da Vinci but to bad for us, the visiting inside is only by appointment so we took a pic and head to the castle.

The rest of the day we just walked around Milan cbd had gelato, breathing in Milan's winter air, thinking y i am so short when comparing to the ang mo's. Lucky it wasnt a fashion week if not i will be like hobbit among all the models walking down the streets....

dont laugh, that goes to half of u out there too.

well as most of u should noe i succesfully enter architecture degree with 1.5 exemption...
clarification: was studying in diploma for the past 2 years

anw...i tot it would be easy as while in diploma i was buried with 15 subs a year but now only 6 subs a year

to my surprise im not sure it will be as easy as i tot....

well...1st day of uni( monday) already i was given this stupid project and to be handed in, in 3 days time(thursday)....fuck
need to do research on 20-30 buildings- structurally decorative and purely ornamental or decorative etc..... :( and present it on pp...actually its not hard la...i just pulled a 'cyik' as usual
i just started the project like 2 hours ago...hehe

anw the easiest sub i tink would be arch technology 04...we had the lecture yesterday
martyn the lecturer told us that for the project this sem we will be given a site where we need to design a student accomodation with plans, elevations, sections and a 3d model...

lol this should be an easy job, except the design part...y? (joshua was looking at me while giggling when we were told bout the project)
last year we were given onli half a sem to do projects like this....so yea that should be the easiest sub...i hope hehe

actually this is kinda embarrassing but its an incident that made me a bit more well-known than the used-to-be small kid who sat at a corner of the class.

as u all prob noe my eng used to be really crappy, so this incident is basically caused by my bad eng

very short and simplified version:

the incident happened during form 3 when kchai n jackson teo sat infront of me and pei sze next to me

one day if im not mistaken, jackson somehow sprained his ankle and he put some ointment on his knee.

the ointment really smells like shit so i was like 'eh pei sze can u smell something?...it smells like....hmmm*trying to tink wad word issit*...ermmm oh...smells like virgin'

coincidently, both kchai and jack heard wad i said and they say 'wth?? u can smell virgin??'

then i was like' ya...u guys cannot smell it mer? so smelly ar..'

then pei sze while holding her laughter shouted and said' u mean vinegar?'

suddenly i realized thats the word, but at the same time (both the guy who always turn back and asked whether pei sze and i wanna see their moving abs) aka jackson and kchai realized it also so they all started to laugh very hard...

i strongly rekon u all to use the midnight flight at 1.05a.m reach SG at 5.40a.m then connect on a Silk Air flight @ 8.40a.m reaching kch at 10.10a.m...(silk air onli provides 8.40 a.m flight to kch on tuesday or thursday... the other days the flights mostly depart SG at 2 smthing p.m)

if u wanna have a more comfortable long haul flight u need to choose the mid nite one because the plane is fitted with new interiors unlike the morning or afternoon flight which the seats are less canggih and less legroom N 'narrower'

updating once again before i board my flight

im quite amazed by the architecture of the new T3 of changi this is actually the 1st time im in the departure hall shit la with all the plants and natural light coming in without heating up the internal space

if only i have the brain to come out with a solution like that, they use aluminum (although not sustainable but recyclable) to reflect light into the building without having the light entering the building directly

yes boring for most but interesting for a lot of ppl

anw also this is actually the 1st time i can see A380 closely and took a few pics a bit happy la considering that i wanna be on her badly

lots of the 'UKians' have been on it lo accept me feel so left out haiya should have gone to sydney instead haha

btw i somehow feel like punching the passengers when i see them coming out of the plane...talk about jealousy turning saints into the sea....

cant sleep so decided to update my blog

im stopping over in sg now before flying to melbourne 2molo hopefully i can spot an a380 while in the airport 2molo since my flight is around the same time the a380 flies to sydney

its like a bitter sweet feeling to leave kch la didnt have enough time to hang out with everyone back there

but then i miss everyone ,the food internet and my house in melbourne

somehow i didnt eat lots of kolo mee and laksa and i didnt even eat kueh chap i just feel those food are okok only melbourne food better for me plus the sinus i get everytime i go back seriously is killing me

oh ya i went to sing k like 2 times in a week and going again with my parents 2molo with thier sg frens and plus rod promised to sing k again at party world this weekend

shit im in love with karaoke....much better than clubbin in my opinion think im improving hehe

somehow almost everyone back there said i loose weight but back in melbourne, kel keeps on calling me moon but the best news is that everyone tink im taller haha guess im still growing after all

oh ya while shopping today i came across 2 things that really liked

i needed a new jacket cos bong said my navy blue jumper is boring and i wear it too often (has been with me for lmost 3 years)

so i went into hugo then i spotted 2 things a pair of snickers and a jacket. snickers $499 sing....ok lar then i saw this really nice jacket and i tot i wouldnt b that ex so i took a look and the price is $1200 fuck la so ex my wallet only got like $120 thats like ten times that amount

anw my bro's luck ran out of luck yesterday during our trip back....

first of all on the plane, my bro's seat spoiled, i tink the hydraullic system of the seat spoiled la, he press the button to make the seat into sleeping mode but nothing happened so everytime he wanna sleep he need to ask the air stewardess to help to make his chair into the 'sleeping mode' manually (push hidden button somewhere within the armrest and push the seat up or down)

and when he wanna seat upright, he ask them again to help push the chair up( dunno he is being haio or not lar cos keep on asking them to 'come')-tink thats y MAS won the world's best cabin staff

so fcked up la its like seating in economy only wider haha but im not gonna complain too much cos i might sound like im spoiled which im totally not (those studying in melb and often go to my house will noe) im soooooo fcking independent!!! hahah

anw 2.5 hrs before the plane lands the stewardess started to serve breakfast and then they told me the nasi lemak finish (refer to my jan post for the lovely picture of MAS nasi lemak)

the onli thing left is the fking salmon with fettucine(smthing like that) and mixed grilled( Beef, Chic and Lamb i tink)

i hate SALMON and i cant eat beef, so the onli thing i had is a croissant and fruits...the stewardess should have served us 1st because we were up way before they started to ask a bunch of ang mos wad choice of food they wan

they unluckiest thing is that my bro and i were the 1st one at the baggage handling area but the last one to leave...the melbourne ppl ACCIDENTLY put my bro's bag in the transit pile so it took them like 1 hr to find the bag here in msia i tink the klia officer overheard me when i was swearing to my bro...couldnt really control my patience when im still in a sleepy mode hehe

so thats all la back to work and soon back to kch!!

Sharon Stone apologizes for remark on China quake

BEIJING (AP) — French fashion house Christian Dior said Thursday it has dropped Sharon Stone from its Chinese ads and released a statement from the actress apologizing for saying China's earthquake may have been bad karma for its treatment of Tibet.

The 50-year-old actress said she was "deeply sorry" for causing anguish and anger among Chinese people with her remarks in an interview last week. Stone models for Christian Dior SA, and the company's Shanghai office issued the statement.

Stone's comments caused considerable anger in the Chinese media. The official Xinhua News Agency said in a commentary Thursday she was the "public enemy of all mankind."

The public relations manager for Dior in Shanghai who gave only her surname, Guo, said Stone would no longer appear in the company's advertisements in China.

"Due to my inappropriate words and acts during the interview, I feel deeply sorry and sad about hurting Chinese people," Stone said in the statement. "I am willing to take part in the relief work of China's earthquake, and wholly devote myself to helping affected Chinese people."

Chinese media have erupted in indignation over foreign criticism of the country ahead of the Beijing Olympics in August. During the international leg of the Olympic torch relay, many Chinese reacted strongly to protests over China's rule of Tibet.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said Thursday he had taken note of Stone's apology.

"We hope that as an actress she should contribute to our two peoples' mutual trust, understanding and friendship," he said.

Stone's original comments were made last week during a Cannes Film Festival red-carpet interview.

"I'm not happy about the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans because I don't think anyone should be unkind to anyone else," Stone said. "And then this earthquake and all this stuff happened, and then I thought, is that karma? When you're not nice that the bad things happen to you?"

Last Year i complained bout autocad where i did badly and the end results pulled my avrg down...after reading through the notes and some practice during summer...i finally know how to use it d at least i can now be a low paid draft-person 'i tink'...just a bit slow lar

But... this year we were introduced to this autodesk Revit program seriously its worse than autocad... fucking hard i tell u ! I tink its also becos i dont really understand wad teacher is talking bout...once i asked him to help fix the problem i had with my work and guess wad he asked the whole class to surround me and the com and tell them to fucking teach me.....so farking embarassing..some of them gave the 'like this lar dumbo' look some more and i felt like banging my head on the wall.

i know the industry is going to switch from cad to revit soon but then i seriously have no idea at all wads going on in the class lar i have this student next to me kept on ans all the questions the tutor asked and i flet like piece of dumb shit

Anw, i noe this is kinda boring to most of you guys but guess wad today is the delivery date of A380 to Singapore Airlines, in 10 days time, the plane will fly from Terminal 2 Changi, Sing to Sydney Kingfordsmith INTL. Like i mentioned before...shit too late already...im so jealous of those who can b on that flight.... shit

Coldest winter in 5 years....its like 2 degrees outside now but i still on my aircon even lik cant stand the temperature in my house...

and serena was freezing last nite..she needs 2 blankets to cover her even tho she was already wearing a jacket.
